Therapy Services
Individual Therapy
I work with children, young people and adults, using a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and preferred style. We can decide together which approach or approaches would benefit you the most and review this as we go. Coming to therapy, especially for the first time, can feel really weird, and my aim is always to help you to feel comfortable and part of the process. It is important that you feel your therapist is a good 'fit' for you, so I am happy to have an initial telephone call to let you know more about me.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues including:
- Anxiety, worry, panic
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Trauma
- Depression and low mood
- Pregnancy and fertility
- Preparing for and adjusting to parenthood
- Grief and loss
- Low self-esteem
- Body image and eating issues
- Difficulties in early childhood including sleep, eating and toileting
- Relationship/interpersonal difficulties
- Anger
- Stress, including exam stress
- Living with physical health conditions
If what you want help with is not listed here, I am happy to think with you about whether I am the right person to support you, and offer suggestions of alternative therapists if needs be.

Couples Support
Relationships are hard - sharing your life with another person who has different perspectives, desires, expectations... It takes effort to understand each other, and to feel comfortable opening up about what you need. Every relationship could benefit from better communication and time dedicated to investing in each other. No matter what stage of a relationship you are in, I can support you in strengthening this connection and working out what it looks like to 'do life' well with the person you've chosen.
I do not offer family therapy and would signpost you to a systemic family therapist if this is the kind of support you are after. If you are unsure what type of support would be best for you, I am happy to have a free consultation with you to discuss this.
NB: In order to work with couples where there has been an affair, this other relationship(s) needs to have ended in order for the therapeutic work to take place. If there are issues around drug or alcohol dependence, I would signpost to an alternative source of support to work on this first.
